In our relationship we will connect spiritual practices with various techniques to promote healthy rhythms that will help you flourish wherever you have been planted. Coaching and spiritual direction are, at their best, a collaborative journey. Below are some of practical things that will help you understand the inner workings and expectations of our relationship. The following applies to both spiritual direction and coaching.
- I understand that spiritual direction and coaching are neither counseling nor therapy.
- I agree to work with Dawn to establish an Ebb and Flow Rule of Life.
- I agree to practice daily spiritual reflection through the Ignatian Examen.
- I agree to honour the time commitment. I will give at least 24 hours notice if I must reschedule.
- I agree to be honest, authentic, and open.
- I agree to use respectful language, especially when referring to marginalized people.
- I agree to make agreed upon payment before each session begins.
The following are for coaching clients in addition to the above.
- I agree to complete the coaching worksheet prior to each coaching session.
- I agree to follow through and complete actions that are agreed upon.
- I agree to be coachable and teachable.
- I agree to be willing to take action.
- I agree to give feedback on the coaching process.
